A large Pennsylvania-based, integrated healthcare system that provides highly skilled primary physicians, specialty physicians and advanced practice clinicians and services wanted to move its 6 hospitals to the same clinical and financial system. After selecting Epic, they were looking for an implementation partner who could help from the ground up and recommend the best approach.

Our Solution

Pivot Point Consulting recommended moving full time staff to Epic implementation efforts and backfilling their roles for legacy support.

We provided database and applications support, Tier 1, 2, 3 support and remote support and enhancement services for multiple legacy EHR and financial systems across the enterprise — including Cerner, Meditech, AllScripts, and Paragon that use MUMPS, Oracle, and SQL.

After stabilizing legacy systems, Pivot Point Consulting the Epic implementation — placing project managers, database analysts and applications analysts with expertise in MUMPS and Cache to gather requirements, build, configure and test the system. In addition we placed 20 PA licensed pharmacists with Epic experience to move pharmacy orders — while continuing to provide legacy support and enhancements.
