Bellevue, WA & Chicago, IL – November 4, 2013 – Pivot Point Consulting, LLC (Pivot Point), a healthcare IT consultancy firm, is pleased to announce that Jon Melling will be joining as Partner. Mr. Melling brings over 30 years of experience working in health informatics in the United States and internationally. Specifically, his experience includes working with healthcare provider organizations seeking to address issues of strategic importance to the organization and its stakeholders.

Before joining Pivot Point, Mr. Melling was a Practice Director at Top Tier Consulting (T2C) where he worked in the areas of strategy, health informatics, information exchange and interoperability planning, and ICD-10 planning. At Pivot Point, Mr. Melling will oversee Strategic Services for the firm.

Jon Melling: Biography

Jon Melling is a management consultant with over 30 years’ experience. He’s worked in health informatics in the United States and internationally. Alongside this, he works with technology vendors looking to enter new markets or introduce new products into existing markets.

Jon is a leading authority in planning for and implementing ICD-10, and he also has significant experience in health information exchange and interoperability strategy, planning and implementation. In addition, his specialties include IT strategies; Systems procurement, including contract negotiations; and Program Management. He’s also well-versed in Change Management; Vendor Business Planning and marketing strategies; eHealth strategies.

Jon is currently Co-Chair of the HIMSS Health Business Solutions Committee. In addition, he’s a member of the HIMSS ICD-10 Task Force and the HIMSS Accountable Care Organization Task Force. Previously, he was President of the Arizona HIMSS Chapter and was awarded the 2011 HIMSS Chapter Leader of the Year.
