Rachel Marano Named First Runner-Up in 2016 SEWA

Rachel Marano, Partner and Co-Founder of Pivot Point Consulting, was recently named first runner-up for the 13th Annual Starkey Entrepreneurial Woman Award. The award recognizes a female entrepreneur who has exhibited courage, tenacity and selflessness in starting and running her own business.

Ms. Marano, along with Co-Founder David Scott, started Pivot Point Consulting in 2011. Pivot Point Consulting, a KLAS ranked national Healthcare IT consulting firm, provides implementation, staff augmentation and advisory services to over 40 healthcare systems. They are leaders in electronic health record (EHR) consulting services, strategic planning, project management, PMO, legacy and go-live support. Since its inception, the firm has grown to 95 employees across 30 states.

Within the healthcare industry, Pivot Point is recognized as one of the best places to work and as one of the fastest growing consulting companies. Known for their outstanding corporate culture, cutting edge technology expertise and exceptional compensation packages, the firm’s retention rate is among the highest in the industry at 96.4 percent, something Ms. Marano is particularly proud of.

“We believe that our most important asset is our client reputation, and the key to building that reputation lies with each and every employee,” said Ms. Marano. “Everything we do is built around providing excellent service and delivering results to our clients, while simultaneously providing an outstanding work environment for employees.”

Ms. Marano also has fifteen years of consulting experience implementing and managing Healthcare Information Technology projects. Her particular expertise is in managing, supporting and directing Epic implementation teams through all phases of the project. Ms. Marano’s depth of experience with leading electronic health record (EHR) and revenue cycle projects, combined with her operational and change management skills, allows her to work in a variety of venues and settings. As a result, she rose through the executive ranks and became recognized as a leader in her field.

The founder’s vision for Pivot Point Consulting stemmed from wanting to create a healthcare IT consulting company that is not only different, but ultimately better – better in how services are delivered; better in developing creative solutions; better in how employees are treated; and better with hiring the right people.

“We always work with integrity and do the right thing for our clients and consultants,” Ms. Marano points out. “When we do that, we see creative solutions develop in remarkable ways that stand out.”
