Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)

Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS)
A standardized coding system used to describe medical services, procedures, and supplies provided to Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries.
Current Procedural Terminology – II (CPTII)
A subset of the HCPCS that describes clinical services and procedure provided to patient. Unlike CPT codes, which describe physician services, CPTII codes are used to report clinical data that supports quality measures and other healthcare initiatives.
National Drug Code (NDC)
A unique 10-digit code used to identify prescription drugs and certain over-the-counter medications in the United States.
